Colorado Valley Dark-Sky Explorers

When:  Saturday, March 17th (6:00 PM - Midnight*)  

Where: Winedale Historical Complex, 3738 FM 2714, Round Top, TX
(From Round Top, take FM 2714 and follow the signs to Winedale)

The Colorado Valley Dark-Sky Explorers, a community nonprofit association of astronomy enthusiasts serving the lower Colorado Valley region, will be hosting a free community star party for all ages to be held at the Winedale Historic Complex near Round Top beginning at 6:00 pm on March 17, 2012.  Solar viewing, kids activities and stargazing of planets, clusters and nebula under some of the darkest skies in the region- using large telescopes and high-power binoculars- will be scheduled for the evening. On February 25^th the Incredible Knockouts Annual fundraiser will be held at Praha hall.  It will be from 6-10pm with a beef vegetable stew supper, silent auction and dance. 

The next team captain meeting is at 6:45 on March 5 at the Methodist Church meeting room in Schulenburg.
