They are mentored and coached by more than 40 distinguished faculty members  and participate in more than 20 orchestral and chamber music concerts performed in the outstanding Festival Concert Hall (1,000 seats) built over a period of 30 years. The Texas Festival Orchestra will perform 8 concerts conducted by eight different conductors from the United States (Michael Stern, Stefan Sanders and Emilio Colon), Canada (Charles Olivieri-Munroe), France (Pascal Verrot), Austria (Christoph Campestrini), Portugal (Pedro Carneiro) and China (Perry So.)

Orchestral programs mix, as usual, the well known and not so well known repertoire and also a world premiere (Concerto for two percussionists and orchestra by Jonathan Leshnoff.)

Chamber music programs are also offering contrasted repertoires (Debussy, Spohr, Dvorak, Ligeti, Brahms, Harsanyi, Bach, Carter, Poulenc, Bartok...
Master classes are open to the public... as well as orchestra rehearsals.

You Are Invited! Tourism in Fayette County, Texas

Dear Fayette County Chambers of Commerce, Cultural Arts, Recreational, Lodging, and Restaurant Members,

Join other us for an organizational meeting on Tuesday April 10, 4-6 pm at Blackbird Farm, 1488 FM 2503, Ellinger, to discuss Tourism in Fayette County.

Our goal is to coordinate efforts so that our Fayette County Visitors will have a variety of reasons to come, enjoy, stay, AND keep returning to any one of our wonderful and unique towns.

Topics on the agenda so far include the following:
1. Formation of a committee that will assist the current Tourism Initiative in the “branding of Fayette County” as a tourist destination.
2. The creation of one day, two day, weekend, and extended day trips into Fayette County, each focused on a different combination of cultural, culinary, lodging, recreational, small town celebrations/major events, and or historical opportunities.
3. The coordination of our major annual events.
4. The possibility of a Fayette County website that would centralize and publicize these efforts.
5. Working with LCRA to take advantage of their expertise and training with regards to tourism.
