CASA
of Bastrop, Inc. serves abused and neglected children in Bastrop, Lee
and Fayette Counties. Our goal is to provide a trained CASA volunteer
for every child who needs an advocate. We rely heavily on volunteers to
complete our mission.
CASA of Bastrop currently represents 49 abused and neglected children in Fayette County.
Several of these children do have volunteers on their cases (and the
remainder are served by CASA staff), but CASA is in need of more
volunteers, particularly those from the LaGrange, Schulenburg, and
Flatonia communities.
Volunteering
for any organization can be fulfilling, but providing assistance for
this particular segment of children can be life-changing. The commitment
can be anywhere from a few hours a month up to as much as a volunteer
is willing to give. Take one case with one child ... or several cases
with multiple kids each. You get to choose.
