Volunteer Training for CASA of Bastrop

cid:image003.jpg@01CD4949.29B9B8D0
CASA of Bastrop, Inc.
Serving Bastrop, Lee & Fayette Counties
Announces New Volunteer Training in LaGrange
June 19, 20 and 26, 5:30 – 9:00 pm
Texas AgriLife Extension Service Building
255 Svoboda Lane
Dinner will be provided.

CASA of Bastrop, Inc. serves abused and neglected children in Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties. Our goal is to provide a trained CASA volunteer for every child who needs an advocate. We rely heavily on volunteers to complete our mission.

CASA of Bastrop currently represents 49 abused and neglected children in Fayette County. Several of these children do have volunteers on their cases (and the remainder are served by CASA staff), but CASA is in need of more volunteers, particularly those from the LaGrange, Schulenburg, and Flatonia communities.

Volunteering for any organization can be fulfilling, but providing assistance for this particular segment of children can be life-changing. The commitment can be anywhere from a few hours a month up to as much as a volunteer is willing to give. Take one case with one child ... or several cases with multiple kids each. You get to choose.

If you are interested in volunteering please call Volunteer Coordinator Julia Dunn at 512-303-2272, or email her at juliadunn@casabastrop.com.

Painting with a Twist at Brenda's Backyard Bar

Painting with a Twist

Looking for a Fun Night Out?

Painting with a Twist® is the answer! The twist is you can enjoy your favorite of wine or beverage during the class.  Come alone or invite your friends.

Paint, canvas, and brushes are provided, as is an experienced and enthusiastic local artist who can lead you step by step through the process of recreating the featured artwork.

At the end of the evening, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind creation and a new found talent you’ll want to explore. This is not your average art class, this is art entertainment.
